Spellbinders Just Add Cake Birthday Card

I absolutely couldn’t resist buying the Spellbinders Just Add Cake birthday card-making kit. The die sets included in the box are all really fun, and there have been so many amazing cards shared using them. The cake eating monster “Chompster” set was perfect for a recent fun birthday card.

I actually used the streamer dies from the champagne bottle set that also comes in the kit, to echo the ones on the embossed background for a fun touch. There are so many fun ways to use Chompster by adding dies from other sets to give him other things to chomp. The kit includes the dies to make a pizza slice as an alternative to the cupcake.

The kit does include a clear stamp and die set with a variety of fun sentiments, but you know I love a hot foiled sentiment, so I went with an older favourite set.

Most of the products used on my card are linked below. All except the inks I used to ink blend the background and also add some depth to the monster. I have the full collection of Pinkfresh Studio mini cubes, and as you may know their existing inks are being discontinued. There are so many great ink choices out there, I just love the Pinkfresh colours. I also have some of the Concord & 9th and Altenew inks, which are great.
