Today I’ve got some cards to share featuring the latest Spellbinders Club of the Month products. The theme for September is “Autumn Tales”. This year they separated out Halloween and Autumn so we had Halloween in August, and now we have autumn in the September club kits. I really love that approach, and the products in each month have been fantastic. As always, the clubs will be open for new subscriber sign ups from tomorrow (6th September) through to 27th September, to receive the September products. From the 1st through the 5th of each month there is an opportunity for existing subscribers to review their choices and switch or pause subscriptions. So if the All Clubs Crate is currently showing out of stock, check back in tomorrow as that may change once the existing subscriber stock has been allocated. I will have another post tomorrow with more of my cards featuring this month’s products!
My first card features the new September Stencil of the Month “Changing Seasons”. I really enjoyed this set, it creates a lovely scene, and depending on your colour choices, you can use it to create backgrounds for different seasons. My one small complaint is that it doesn’t include a stencil for the sky, so I coloured that at the end with a light blue marker. The girl is from the September Large Die of the Month “Sunflowers & Showers”. I also used the September Clear Stamp & Die of the Month set “Stuffed with Gratitude” which includes some great sentiments to coordinate with the other club products plus a cute Thanksgiving turkey image.
If you get the September All Clubs Crate, the exclusives plus the Large Die of the Month and Stitching Die of the Month give you a few different sizes of sunflower to play with, which is really fun. I used dies from the September Large Die of the Month “Sunflowers & Showers” and also the Crate Exclusive Die – Hello Foxy. I arranged my sunflowers to cover most of an arch shaped die-cut layer, trimming off any overhanging petals.I love this look, and have been wanting to try it since seeing Jennifer McGuire do some like this with the Sunflower Serenade die set a while ago.
Here’s a card featuring the September Stitching Die of the Month “Scarecrow Harvest”. This one creates the cutest scarecrow, with details you can stitch, and some cornstalks so you can build a scene for him. Really cute, and you can see there is a smaller sunflower included in this set. I used another sentiment from the September Clear Stamp & Die of the Month set “Stuffed with Gratitude” to complete this card.
Finally for today (I’ll be back with more cards tomorrow), I used the September Press & Foil of the Month “Thankful Friends”. I ran this one through my BetterPress with my usual Copic friendly ink and Copic friendly paper, before colouring using Copic markers. The sentiment also comes in the Press & Foil club kit.
