Spellbinders have partnered with Lolli & Grace to bring some gorgeous new Festive Felt Christmas die sets. They are designed to work with felt to create gorgeous detailed keepsake ornaments, but can also be used with cardstock. I had fun playing with them and using up some of my wool felt stash to create a set of four ornaments.
First is this gorgeous Father Christmas. There are full video tutorials and assembly and stitching guides for all of the die sets, making it easy for beginners to pick up and complete! For each of the ornaments I used Bearly Arts glue to adhere the layers before stitching. However the final gluing of the string, base layer, and any unstitched areas, I did using Fabritac glue, as that gives a really nice strong bond on fabric. I wouldn’t want to use that one prior to stitching however, as stitching through it would be tougher.
There is also a sweet snowlady set!
Plus of course a snowman! I was a little nervous when I saw the tassles on the scarf, but while slightly fiddly they were actually really easy to do following the video tutorial.
Finally, the stocking! This one was my favourite, and I’m planning on making more of these for Christmas gifts this year.
